B.A.G. Corp.'s Super Sack containers are featured in the "Extreme Textiles" exhibition at the Smithsonian's Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum. Six suspended Super Sack containers, featuring special exhibition graphics, will be on display in the museum garden off Fifth Avenue in New York.. Super Sack containers were selected for this exhibition due to the extreme strength of the Super Sack's fabric and design. Super Sack containers or FIBC's (Flexible Intermediate Bulk Containers), transport millions of tons of raw materials including industrial minerals, chemical and pharmaceuticals, food stuffs, seed and grain, pigments, fiberglass, and cement around the world.
A Super Sack container's volume ranges from two to 100 cubic feet and can hold up to 4,000 lbs. with a 5:1 safety ratio. A 5:1 safety ratio means that a Super Sack container rated for 4,000 lbs. can test to 20,000 lbs. before failing. A typical Super Sack container holds one metric ton (2,205 lbs.) of product. |
