The BAG Corp manufacturing plant in Juarez, Mexico has passed their recertification for ISO 9001 to the more demanding 2015 Standard. BAG Corp’s Director of Quality, Nancy Cline, congratulated the Juarez team and said, “A tremendous amount of work went into this accomplishment. Thank you for your dedication and hard work to ensure our ISO audit went so well.”
Using ISO 9001:2015 helps ensure that customers get consistent, good quality products and services, which in turn brings many business benefits.
About ISO 9001:2015:
ISO 9001:2015 sets out the criteria for a quality management system and is the only standard in the family that can be certified to (although this is not a requirement). It can be used by any organization, large or small, regardless of its field of activity. This standard is based on a number of quality management principles including a strong customer focus, the motivation and implication of top management, the process approach and continual improvement.
Additionally, the Juarez facility recently earned its impressive 5th consecutive AIB International Superior rating over a period of ten years. In April 2004, AIB International conducted the first audit of our Mexico facility, and in recent years, audits have been conducted to the more stringent requirements of the revised 2009 AIB International Consolidated Standards for Food Contact Packaging.
In 2003, BAG Corp made the decision to take proactive steps towards improving our manufacturing process in a continuing effort to offer our customers the cleanest, highest quality bulk bag products that we could produce. We initiated stricter audits against the Standards for Food Contact Packaging, rather than the more lenient Standards for Nonfood Contact Packaging. We earned an “Excellent” rating on our first audit, providing the foundation from which we built our successive five “Superior” ratings, which is the highest, on each of the subsequent biannual audits. According to our AIB auditor, achieving a “Superior” on three successive audits is an outstanding accomplishment.
